Store policies
Review delivery, returns, warranty, privacy and terms before buying.
Delivery information
Smart Iwacu currently operates from Kigali. Delivery timing begins after stock, address and payment conditions are confirmed.
Indicative delivery zones
- Pickup by arrangement: free.
- Central Kigali: 2,500 RWF.
- Other Kigali areas: 4,000 RWF.
- Outside Kigali: starting from 7,500 RWF, depending on destination and courier.
Orders with a product subtotal of at least 100,000 RWF qualify for free delivery within configured Kigali zones. Large, fragile or remote deliveries may require a separate quotation.
Returns and refunds
Contact Smart Iwacu as soon as possible after delivery if a product is damaged, materially different from the confirmed order or non-functional on first use.
- Report visible delivery damage immediately where possible.
- Keep packaging, accessories and proof of purchase.
- Do not modify, open, misuse or damage a product before requesting assessment.
- Change-of-mind returns are accepted only when agreed in advance and the item is unused, complete and resalable.
- Delivery charges may be non-refundable where the correct, functional product was delivered as agreed.
Approved refunds are sent through an agreed traceable method after assessment. This starter policy should be reviewed against Rwanda’s current consumer-protection requirements before launch.
Warranty
Each product page states an indicative functional guarantee. The final warranty period may vary by product and supplier and should be confirmed on the invoice or order message.
- Warranty covers verified manufacturing or functional faults during the stated period.
- It does not cover physical damage, water damage, incorrect voltage, incompatible use, unauthorised repair, normal wear or consumable batteries where excluded.
- Smart Iwacu may repair, replace or refund after inspection, depending on the fault and available stock.
Payment safety
Payment options include an automatic PayPack Mobile Money prompt, a hosted PayPack link, manual Mobile Money and individually approved cash on delivery.
- Never send a Mobile Money PIN to Smart Iwacu.
- Confirm the merchant, amount and order before authorising payment.
- Keep the payment reference until the order is complete.
- High-value, outside-Kigali or special-order products may require full payment or a deposit before dispatch.
Privacy
Smart Iwacu collects the minimum information needed to answer enquiries, process payments, prevent fraud and deliver orders. This can include name, telephone number, optional email, delivery location, products ordered and payment reference.
Payment PINs are never requested or stored. PayPack and Mobile Money providers process payment authentication under their own systems. When the optional Cloudflare D1 database is enabled, order details are stored in the Smart Iwacu Cloudflare account and should be protected with strong access controls.
Customers may request correction or deletion of eligible personal information after legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations are satisfied.
Terms of sale
Submitting an order is a request to buy. An order becomes confirmed after Smart Iwacu verifies stock, price, customer details, payment conditions and delivery feasibility.
- Product illustrations in this starter website are design placeholders and must be replaced with real photographs before launch.
- Starter prices and stock quantities must be verified before accepting public orders.
- Compatibility remains the customer’s responsibility unless Smart Iwacu explicitly confirms compatibility in writing.
- Obvious pricing or technical errors may be corrected before order confirmation, with the customer free to decline.
- Illegal, fraudulent or abusive orders may be rejected.
